Cigna & CMB is committed to helping customers we serve improve their health, well-being and sense of security, and devoting to the children and their families in impoverished mountainous areas in China and practicing a sustainable development mode for our corporate social responsibility.
In 2014, Cigna & CMB and China Children and Teenagers’ Fund jointly initiated “Dreamer” CSR program for children’s growing development. In the following three years, we will donate three “Ankang Libraries” and one “Safety Experience Classroom” every year, so as to help the rural schools in poor educational resources, improve their reading environment of the rural and urban migrant children, teach the children how to deal with various emergencies and train them escaping from fire, water, etc and help them grow up in a healthy, safe and happy environment.
Ankang Libraries and Safety Experience Classrooms will serve as the permanent space for voluntary activities, including safety education classes, reading exchange experience, so as to benefit more children and families.
After Wenchuan earthquake in 2008, Cigna & CMB built two “Hope Primary School” in the earthquake area and continued to help these schools. In 2013, we donated two “ Hope Kitchen” to improve their canteen environment.
Since 2010, Cigna & CMB is helping children who are suffering from leukemia and cancer to fight against diseases and bring them sunshine and hope by cooperating with Guangzhou Gold-ribbon Special Children Parents Center.
In 2014, Cigna & CMB signed the contract with China Children and Teenagers’ Fund to continuously build “Ankang Libraries” and “Children Safety Experience Classroom” in the following 3 years and help improve children’s educational environment, so as to ensure the children to have a safe and healthy growth environment.
In the annual “Cigna Day”, Cigna & CMB will solicit contributions from the company to improve health and nutrition of Hope school children, organize charity activities to the local communities, and build houses for poor families around the world.
